A gas tanker erupted in flames along a major highway in Lagos, triggering panic among motorists and residents and causing significant traffic disruption as emergency responders battled to contain the blaze.
The incident occurred during peak traffic hours when the tanker, loaded with liquefied petroleum gas, reportedly caught fire while in transit. Thick plumes of smoke quickly engulfed the area, forcing motorists to abandon their vehicles and flee to safety as the fire intensified.
