The House of Representatives has stepped up its investigation into alleged fake government agencies and has given all affected Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs, 48 hours to provide the requested documents and information.
The lawmakers warned that any MDA that fails to comply within the deadline could face sanctions for obstructing the investigation. According to the House, the probe is aimed at identifying unauthorized agencies, eliminating wasteful government spending, and improving transparency and accountability in the public sector.
The committee handling the investigation said it is determined to ensure that only legally established agencies receive government funding and operate within the law. The outcome of the probe is expected to help strengthen governance and prevent the misuse of public resources.
