Chairman of NGX Group Plc, Dr. Umaru Kwairanga, has called on Nigeria to remain committed to implementing comprehensive economic reforms that strengthen institutions, improve market efficiency, attract investment, and promote innovation.

Dr. Umaru Kwairanga said sustainable economic growth and long term national prosperity depend on consistent reforms that foster strong institutions, transparent governance, and investor confidence. He noted that countries with successful economies achieved lasting development by maintaining policy consistency and creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

He stressed that meaningful reforms should remove barriers to investment, reduce the cost of doing business, improve productivity, and create opportunities for enterprises to expand and innovate.

The NGX chairman also emphasized the need for collaboration between the government and the private sector, noting that while government is responsible for providing a stable policy environment and effective regulation, businesses must drive investment, innovation, job creation, and wealth generation.

According to him, a predictable and transparent policy framework is essential for attracting long term investment, while a vibrant private sector remains the engine of economic growth and national development.
