Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has threatened a ₦10 billion defamation lawsuit against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi over allegations linking him to murder, bribery, and other criminal activities. The legal action follows Adeyemi’s public claims that Gbajabiamila demanded a share of funds connected to the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), an agency the Presidency says does not exist.

Gbajabiamila’s lawyers described the allegations as false, malicious, and damaging to his reputation, demanding that Adeyemi retract the statements and issue a public apology or face legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) argued that the Presidency cannot unilaterally clear any individual of wrongdoing and called for an independent investigation into both Adeyemi’s allegations and the circumstances surrounding the PFIPC controversy. Adeyemi is also scheduled to appear before the Federal High Court over separate criminal charges related to the alleged fake agency.
