Fintiri Mourns Adamawa Agriculture Commissioner, Professor David Jatau

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor David Jatau, who passed away in Abuja after a brief illness.

In a condolence message, Governor Fintiri described the late commissioner as a distinguished scholar, seasoned administrator, and committed public servant whose contributions to the development of agriculture in Adamawa State will be remembered for years to come.

The Governor noted that Professor Jatau played a pivotal role in implementing policies and programmes aimed at enhancing food security, improving agricultural productivity, supporting farmers, and strengthening Adamawa’s position as one of Nigeria’s leading agricultural states.

He said the late commissioner served with dedication, professionalism, and integrity, adding that his wealth of knowledge and passion for agricultural development significantly advanced the state’s development agenda.

Governor Fintiri extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Ministry of Agriculture, friends, and associates, praying for the peaceful repose of Professor Jatau’s soul and for God to grant his loved ones the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

The Governor described Professor Jatau’s death as a great loss to Adamawa State and the agricultural community, noting that his legacy of service and commitment to public development would continue to inspire future generations.
